Many thanks to everyone who has entered!

Sixth-Round Winner!
Justin shows us why you need the #1 winch when you push the limits while riding solo. Justin gets a new XT25 to ensure he gets home safely the next time he ventures out alone.

Well I decided after a hard day of work to have a little fun. I went to the shed and fired up my 2000 Yamaha Kodiak 400 4x4. I then proceeded to travel the trails on my property leading to this old gravel pit shown in the pictures. I had noticed that another ATV-er had crossed this frozen pond. I thought to myself, "Let's give it a try." "When in doubt gas it". I started out onto the ice and suddenly I fell through. I was all by my self and stranded without a winch because my MileMarker winch was unsealed unlike your products. Let's just say my machine was swamped and I needed help. I called my sister to come out and help. 5 hours later and a junk winch I have decided its time not to buy a non-name brand winch and trust the big dogs in the industry like WARN.

Chad shows the true power of a WARN winch as he recovers not just his ATV but his duck boat too. His new XT25 will ensure he can get in and out of any boat launch, regardless of conditions.

I was pulling a 20 ft. duck boat and I got stuck with it hooked onto my ATV. I hooked my winch to a tree and it pulled the boat and me out. The boat has a 90 hp motor so you have an idea how heavy it was!
Thanks so much.
Chad

Fifth-Round Winner!
Riding year-round means being prepared for any kind of weather conditions Mother Nature can throw at you with a WARN winch at the ready. Eric gets a new RT/XT winch to ensure he can keep pushing the limits year-round no matter what weather and trail conditions he may encounter.

This is my buddy Dave. We were riding up at Brown's camp when the trail gave way under his brand new Suzuki King Quad. Thankfully Dave had put a WARN 2.5 on his machine before even leaving the dealership. Once Dave finished "fishing" for the hook we were able to hook him to a nearby tree and his WARN 2.5 pulled him free with ease!

Fifth-Round Runner-Up Winner!
Blake shows us why you want the #1 winch when you venture into the backcountry. Blake's new RT25 with wire rope is perfect for vehicle recovery and is also durable enough for dragging firewood logs on his property in Vermont.

Dear WARN,
My cousin and I love to go exploring in the backcountry and we recently thought it would be a good idea to get a winch. We wanted a WARN, but the price converted us to a Moose 3000 pound made by Superwinch. We decided to go for a ride and try it out, so we decided to go up to Cobb's camp, a very remote place with lots of elevation change. As we began to get within a mile or so of the camp the snow became relatively deep and the next thing we know it was REALLY deep about 12 inches. The first trial with the winch was successful. The next trial the free spool became hard to work and when winching in the cable was getting caught up on itself. We spent a half hour untangling the winch and finally we were able to get back home. What was supposed to be a day of exploring turned into a day of headaches. Next time I will buy a WARN!

Fourth-Round Winner!
Dave shows how smart thinking combined with a WARN winch can get you past tough obstacles. Thanks for the great story and enjoy your new winch!

Every May, the trail that I take to get to my hunting stand has a section that is shaded by a mountain. It is covered in snow for nearly a mile and the snow is, on average, about four feet deep and impassible. The snow often lasts until the beginning of June, but the best hunting to be had is in May. Last year, I created a system using my Warn winch in order to get through and make it to my stand. I take a boat anchor, drop it in the snow, hook my Warn 2.5 ci winch up to it, and pull my Polaris Sportsman 6x6 up about forty feet at a time. Without my winch, my hunting season would be several weeks shorter. I know I wouldn't be able to get there without it.

I know a lot of guys have winches on their machines that are rarely used, but mine has been put to the test, time and time again. I lived in Valdez, Alaska (the snow capital of Alaska) for three winters where the average snowfall was over 300 inches. I have my winch hooked to my snow plow, and used it to plow those 300+ inches. So, between the plowing and the May hunting trips, my WARN winch has surpassed my many expectations.

Fourth-Round Runner-Up Winner!
If you ride solo be sure to take your WARN partner along to back you up. Tom gets an RT30 to ensure he can get his 2-up ATV out of trouble when he heads out alone.

In late January on a solo Quad ride to the Coke Ovens near Florence, Arizona I crossed the Gila River near the ghost town of Cochran with no problem. On the return trip I again attempted to cross the river and ended up being washed down the river about 200 ft before I could get my Quad to lodge on a sand bar. I never dreamed my new WARN 2.5ci I had just installed would work under water. Used all cable + 50' strap & rope to tie off. Bad pull angle, about 110 ft. Not only did WARN get me out of the river but I also used it to load my 800lb ATV into my truck. Thanks WARN.
Tom

Third-Round Winner!
Ben sums it up: If you like to get stuck, take WARN with you. Ben gets a new XT25 with a lightweight synthetic rope perfect for vehicle recovery to ensure that he can keep getting himself and his riding partners out of that stuck they love to get into.

Dear WARN,
A while back, a group of friends and I decided to pick up ATV's to burn off the on-the-job stress when we're off duty. So I loaded my 2002 Polaris 700 with a few accessories, the first being my WARN 2.5ce winch. It's never let me down, and pulled myself, and my friends out of some of the stickiest spots we could find. After pulling out most of the guys and girls without winches of their own, you don't have to look hard in our group to find a WARN these days. I couldn't imagine hitting the mud without one of these mounted on my machine. Thanks WARN for letting us all get out of stuck we love to get into!
Sincerely,
Benjamin Campos

Take WARN with you when you go into pits like this. Nigel shows the best way to get yourself out of trouble - with your own WARN winch. Nigel has already upgraded to the new RT30 and prefers the new high performance design over his old BRP XL2500. Nigel wins an XT25 to mount on the rear of his Outlander to ensure he can get out of trouble no matter which way it comes at him.

My yellow Outlander was stuck in a 6-foot deep hole. A LandRover tried to pull me out with a tow rope but it didn't do it. Got out my WARN winch and pulled my self out using a tree saver and a straight pull.

Second-Round Winner!
When you ride trails that are rutted this bad, you better take WARN with you. Scott uses his winch for self recovery in mud and sand, and in the fall he uses it to access and get his game out of remote elk hunting terrain in Oregon's rugged coastal mountain ranges. Scott's new XT25 with standard synthetic rope will ensure that he can keep pushing the limits and getting the biggest elk out of the backcountry.

Well, as the six of us started out on a new trail for the first time in Clatskanie, Oregon, we realized we weren't getting out the way we came in. We eventually got to a hill that only two of us managed to climb. After I got to the top it was time to put the WARN 2500 to good use. We had quite a line of quads trying to get out of this hole. My WARN and everyone else's were successful in getting this motley crew safely to the top and back home! I love the winch and will never buy a different brand!

Second-Round Runner-Up Winner!
When you tackle unknown mud pits, you better have WARN at the ready. Andrew proves why a WARN winch is worth the investment. As a recreational rider doing lots of vehicle recovery, he will benefit from the XT25's lightweight, easy-to-handle synthetic rope.

So, it's August the 20th. Beautiful day out, perfect for ATV-ing it would seem, but with one little problem, the mud pit you've been riding in with your new Yamaha Grizzly was ran through with someone's 4x4 truck....little did I know that this occurred and was confident that I would make it out, like I have many times before. So, I decided to go out with my older brother this time to show him the trails and how to make it out of a mud pit. Well, I was no show off that day, I decided to drive through the nastiest mud hole I could find to show how my 26" Mud tires would make it out no problem. The second I hit the mud hole, my new Grizzly sank like a rock. Well, at first I thought I could easily pull myself out with my brother's Superwinch 2000 lb. winch. It began to pull the ATV out very slowly and then just died completely..... Continue Reading

The only thing better than a WARN winch is a new WARN winch. Joe gets a new RT25 to replace his old 2.5ci. As a rancher and a recreational rider Joe will benefit from the versatility and ruggedness of the RT25's wire rope.

Posted by Joe from Minnesota on February 10, 2007

Last spring, the farmer down the road got his 773 Bobcat stuck in the creek. My brother and my dad and I showed up to help. We took our '03 Yamaha Grizzly with a 2.5ci WARN winch to the rescue. We put a snatch block on the base of a six inch wooden post. Then hooked it to the Bobcat. The winch had so much power, with two full size men on the Grizzly for weight and the brakes locked up, it pulled the 773 up the steep bank. We were amazed that a winch made to pull a four-wheeler out, pulled a Bobcat out. I am sorry I did not have a camera to show you the proof on how tough your winches truly are.

First-Round Runner-Up Winner!
The only thing that can replace the reliability of Andre's 2.5ci is a new XT25. As a recreational rider doing self recovery and winter time plow lifting Andre will benefit greatly from the lightweight, easy to handle synthetic rope on the XT25.

Posted by Andre from Maine on February 14, 2007

I use my 2.5ci winch for all kinds of things. The picture shows me using it to pull another ATV out of the mud, but I also use my winch to pull myself out of tough situations, pull fallen trees to a clear area for cutting, level and regrade my driveway, and to plow my driveway in the winter.

One winter, I decided to go for a ride on some trails behind the house to a nearby lake. I live on top of a small mountain and the ride to the lake is just over half a mile all downhill. My plan was to ride to the lake, then take the lake..... Continue Reading
